  • Dr. Brian Dehn

    Dr. Brian Dehn is an internationally respected choral conductor and vocal pedagogue. As the Founder and Artistic Director of Meistersingers, Artistic Director of the Southern California Master Chorale, and over two decades of success at the high school and collegiate level, Dr. Dehn is known for high standards in repertoire as well as his ability to build a shape all levels of singers into extraordinary ensembles. He has conducted his singers in some of the world's most remarkable venues including Carnegie Hall, the Sistine Chapel, St. Mark's in Venice, St. Peter's in Rome, St. Mathias in Budapest, St. Tomaskircke in Vienna, St. Patrick's and The Riverside Church in New York, St. Anne's Cathedral in Sydney, St. Mary’s Church in Cambridge, St. Patrick’s and St. Mary’s in Dublin, St. Giles Cathedral in Edinburgh, and the Beijing Central Conservatory.

    Dr. Dehn received advanced degrees from Claremont Graduate University, specializing in Baroque Performance Practice, and San Jose State University, focusing on Choral Conducting and Music Education.  He recently completed 15 years of teaching at the high school level where his ensembles were awarded consistent "Superior" ratings and invitations to prestigious festivals around the state, including an invitation to perform at the 2014 and 2018 ACDA Western Region Conventions.  He led his student programs on performance tours to New York, Spain and Portugal, San Francisco, China, Italy, Ireland and England, and Australia. 

    For over 20 years Dr. Dehn has also held positions as director of music for a variety of Southern California churches. He is currently serving as Director of Music at First Christian Church in Orange, where he conducts the Chancel Choir, two Handbell Ensembles, the Children’s Choir, and leads the contemporary band.

    As an accomplished tenor soloist, Dr. Dehn has performed in Chicago Symphony Hall for Chapman University, The New Century Singers, The California Women's Chorus, Pasadena Pro Musica as well as soloist for many other professional music ensembles, colleges and churches throughout Southern California.  An accomplished ensemble singer in his own right, he has performed with Zephyr, De Angelis, and the Los Angeles Master Chorale.

    Dr. Dehn maintains membership in several music organizations including the American Choral Directors Association, International Federation of Choral Music, Music Educators National Conference, California Music Educators Association (where he was a presenter in 2016), Chorus America and the National Association of Church Music where he served as board member for Church Literature.  He lives in Orange, California, with his wife Chelsea and their two sons.

  • Kathleen Gremillion

    Grammy-award-winning singer Kate Gremillion was a student of Virginia Zeani at Indiana University as well as a conducting protégé of Dr. Bruce Chamberlain. Winner of numerous awards she has performed professionally at Carnegie and Disney Hall as well as Segerstrom Center and The Hollywood Bowl with the LA Philharmonic, Pacific Symphony and Pacific Chorale (with whom she toured Europe this past summer). She has been a featured soloist with the Pacific Chorale, Meistersingers, Meritage Vocal Ensemble and the Long Beach Symphony and Camerata.

    Kate is a cantor at St Matthew's Anglican Church in Newport Beach. As a dramatic artist she created the role of Lindsay in the original musical Fanny at Chez Panisse (alongside Tom Hulce and Jill Eikenberry) and has performed roles such as Despina, Rosina, Carmen and Dido. She also served as backup singer for Josh Groban during his “Harmony” Tour.

    Ms. Gremillion runs a private voice and piano studio and is the founder of the St. Matthews Choir School, which has the distinction of being among the topmost awarded programs in the United States by the Royal School of Church Music. Her newest venture is founder and director of the Music Conservatory at Bethel Classical Academy in Irvine, CA., and now as Co-Artistic Director of The Orange County Choral Academy.

  • Dr. Anne McClintic

    Dr. Anne McClintic

    Dr. Anne McClintic is a full-time music educator and vocalist based in Southern California, where she maintains a private studio of 20 piano and voice students. She also teaches Music Appreciation, Music Literacy and Music Composition courses for the St. Athanasius Academy.

    She is currently a soprano section leader for St. Matthew’s Church in Newport Beach. She also performs regularly with the Pacific Chorale and the Meistersingers, both based in Orange County, California. Recent works include Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, Mozart’s Requiem, Rachmaninov’s All-Night Vigil, and Handel’s Messiah. She can be heard on the Grammy Award-winning recording of Mahler’s Symphony No. 8 with the Los Angeles Philharmonic under the direction of Gustavo Dudamel.

    Anne received a BM in Vocal Music Education from Chapman University, and an MA and PhD in Historical Musicology from Claremont Graduate University. Her dissertation focused on Orthodox Church Music in North America.

    While at Chapman she had the opportunity to study with choral great Dr. William Hall, and sang in numerous choral tours to the Pacific Northwest, Colorado, Miami, and Italy. She was the recipient of the prestigious director-chosen “Choral Award” at the annual Scholund Scholarship Concert held at Chapman. She also performed and worked with the Pomona College Choir and the Pomona College Glee Club, with whom she toured Poland, London and Germany.

  • Father Hayden Butler

    Fr. Hayden Butler is the Associate Rector of St. Matthew’s Church in Newport Beach, where he has served for the past ten years. He holds graduate degrees in Theology and Literature, and has extensive experience in Education as a school founder, curriculum designer, and classroom teacher.

    Dr. John Mark Reynolds is the President of Saint Constantine College and The Saint Constantine Schools.
